An often overlooked drain on your money is excesive exhaust rate, and insufficient or excesive make up air intake. If the system is not properly balanced, the exhaust fan removes conditioned/cooled air replacing it with hot outside air, which then has to be cooled for worker comfort. This causes your a/c system to have to work much harder cooling that hot outside air, and costing you a lot of money that is being wasted. It sometimes is so severe that your a/c system cannot cool it down enough for proper comfort, and you end up with a very hot uncomfortable kitchen.
